For Shawn Hayes, the ancient practice of falconry is more than a deep connection with raptors. It’s his life’s work. As an American falconry ambassador, he’s carved a space for himself where people of color haven’t always been welcome.

A few of my favorites (right) from the 2012 & 2016 presidential campaign trails.
During the past few presidential elections, I have been on the campaign trail as a photojournalist. In 2008, I worked for the political blog FiveThirtyEight, which was later acquired by The New York Times (and more recently, ESPN). In 2012, I partnered with TalkingPointsMemo & Corbis Images as a freelance photojournalist. In 2016, I was back home with FiveThirtyEight.

REST is the story of a young American soldier who dies in WW1 and ninety years later unearths himself from a grave in the European countryside.
Shot over the course of a week in Mendocino County, Morongo Valley, and New York City, the film is a dark, but beautiful meditation on a wayward soul’s pursuit of peace.

A package of videos I made for Acompli. The first is a more traditional ad, a "teaser" for the launch of the company itself. The second is a product video for the release of their flagship product.

This was a really fun new genre for me: the book trailer. I made this for Daisy Rockwell's Little Book of Terror, an incredibly compelling and complicated book of paintings and essays about The Global War on Terror. Released by Foxhead Books.
